What are we doing?

We companion people to behold Jesus, the true image of God, while they are renewed into His likeness; fully alive and freely sent.

By the Spirit's forming work and the healing love of Jesus, Imago Dei walks with people through the slow, faithful renewal of God's image in every dimension of life until wonder at who God is awakens wonder at who He made them to be, as they carry His image back into the world.

Why are we doing it?

Choose Joy – because the joy of the Lord is our strength and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore, therefore my heart is glad.

Gracious Space – because people only stop hiding when they believe there is truly a broad place of safety for them, unearned.

Live Full – because Jesus came that we might have life to the full and now that good life comes full of wisdom and full of His Spirit.

Fruitful Companions – because no one walks this road alone; we companion people the way Christ walked to Emmaus, displaying the fruit of the Spirit.

Faithful Courage – because deep formation requires telling the truth about our wounds, our sin, and our God.

How are we doing it?

Imago Dei forms people through three pathways drawn from Luke 24 as we integrate this with 7MR.

The Walk — spiritual direction: as Jesus drew near and walked with two disciples (Luke 24:15), a trained companion walks with one person, helping them notice God's presence and hear His voice. The Walk recovers the self, known by God.

The Table — formation cohorts: as their eyes were opened in the breaking of bread (24:30–31), small communities practice the ancient disciplines together, learning that no one is renewed into Christ's image alone. The Table recovers the relational self, modeled by God.

The Road — retreats and sending: as burning hearts rose that same hour and returned to Jerusalem (24:33), guided retreats move people from encounter back into mission. The Road recovers the fully alive and sent self, found in God.

When are we successful?

Wonder Recovered — people awed again by who God is and what He declares them to be in Christ.

Shame Loosened — the accusing voice losing its grip as the mediating love of Christ is believed.

Identity Rooted — self-understanding relocated from performance and image-management to union with Jesus.

Wholeness Growing — the Spirit's renewing work reaching every dimension of life: mind, body, affections, relationships.

Fully Sent — formation overflowing into mission; people who have met Christ at the table walking the road back to the city with burning hearts (Luke 24:33).
